Born from the Void

Vorago Studios is a solo indie game studio based in Valencia, Spain. We make games about the things that lurk where they shouldn't — the undead that won't stay buried, the spirits that follow you home, the chaos that erupts when you drop one more block on the pile.

Every project we build lives somewhere between horror, dark fantasy and the absurd. From possessed physics towers to tactical undead armies to psychological terror rooted in Japanese folklore — if it's dark, strange, or slightly cursed, we're making it.

The name Vorago comes from Latin, meaning "devouring abyss" — the void that swallows everything. A one-man studio with six games in the pipeline and zero interest in the light.

Research Lab, October 14, 1974
Retrieved from Tsukuba Electromagnetic Research Laboratory archives. Original negative lost.
FILE #0041-B · DECLASSIFIED

On October 14, 1974, three researchers at the Tsukuba Electromagnetic Research Laboratory captured an anomaly on film. They were calibrating signal equipment. None of them were looking at the window.

The photograph was developed two weeks later. The figure in the glass was visible in every print. The negative was confiscated. Two of the researchers resigned within the month. The third — Dr. Hayashi — published a paper titled "On the Persistence of Residual Images in Spaces of Sudden Death" before disappearing from academic records entirely.

His final handwritten note, recovered from his office desk:

"They are not behind the glass. They are between the frames. And they have learned to smile."

In 2026, someone built a game that lets you find out what he meant.

RECOVERED FOOTAGE — ENTITY: KUCHISAKE-ONNA — 口裂け女
Entity detected — Yuurei
ENTITY: YUUREI — 幽霊 — CONTORTED MANIFESTATION

Something has followed you home. Your screen knows. Your webcam knows.

Investigate paranormal activity rooted in authentic Japanese folklore. Research entities through a living internet. Gather evidence. Identify what haunts you. Survive long enough to complete the ritual — or don't.

Designed for live audiences. The game is aware when you are streaming. It knows when your chat is watching. And it will use both against you.
